Papemelroti

These days, it’s hard to find a good stationery store in town to cater to all of my stationery cravings, especially for local stuff. I’m just really glad that there’s this one store that is always so convenient for me to get good local stuff of (and they use recycled paper!).

Whenever I write to my penpals in other countries, I always want to show them a part of where I came from not just from postcards and pictures, but through stationery, the most common thing we love with penpals. It’s always so good to be able to write in stationery that is made from your own country, and I always get them at our local Papemelroti store.

Whenever I see a Papemelroti store in a mall, I just can’t help but go in and never leaving without purchasing some goods.

AND NOW THEY’RE HAVING A CONTEST! They’re giving away a business pack, which I’m eager to win because of my own stationery cravings and it can also help with me and my friends local online stationery store, Entwined Stationery. All you have to do is just some easy steps and you’re in!

And you know what’s even cooler? THE CONTEST IS OPEN WORLDWIDE! So you can join from wherever you’re from, though you just have to shoulder the shipping costs if you win but hey, you’ll be gaining a lot!

So guys, charge to www.papemelroti.com/contests.htm and GET READY TO WIN!

See ya there! 🙂

Blogging depression at 3AM

I think it’s been a while since I posted an entry and I have a lot to share from my trip to Boracay last week. I’ll have that post up sometime this week. Right now, I just wanna write and exhale some feelings subtly haha!

I haven’t really been that busy but when you’re feeling down most of the time, it seriously takes up your time more than you expect. I have the tendency to overthink things and be depressed about it almost immediately.

I don’t know if I’m making sense right now since it is being written at 3am but anyway, bear with me! haha!

Lately, I’ve been asking myself questions that I believe I already know the answer yet somehow want to contradict it because it’s the right thing and yet it’s not what you want to do.

One of the questions that constantly pops up to my mind this week is: Does it pay to be humble?

I realize that humble people tend to wait a bit or even more longer to get the feedback that they want and as a young person with sometimes hot-tempered, jealous and inner bitchy personality, I find it hard to do it sometimes. Especially when the person who occasionally pisses you off is always beside you and always have a self-centered personality almost always gets everything wanted.

Life is unfair. I know.

Somehow I feel like I just need to get away from this place and all these people so that I can find my independence and myself. There’s so many unspoken expectations that I’m pressured to achieve and no matter what you do there’s always someone stabbing you in the back.

Life like this is depressing and stressing.

This post is becoming depressing and stressful. I tend to do that when I pour my emotions out and yet somehow you don’t get what I’m talking about (though I hope some of you do).

Reality isn’t that great. And I guess that’s why I’m one of those people who tend to wonder and dream of another life and wishing that we could just step into a movie we wanted.

But then again, what’s the meaning of life if not for reality?

I just wish there was like a magic closet in every house that can lead to Narnia. That would be awesome!

Oh well. It is what it is.

Sorry for a depressing post. It is 3 in the morning haha!

Mail. Coffee. Movie. Stamp. Just Random Stuff.

Have so many pictures that I haven’t got the time to blog so I’m squeezing it to a post today! And I’m always happy with a hearty mailbox! Last August 3, I woke up to find these in the mailbox! 4 letters and a postcard! This has got to be the best mail day I’ve ever had! One was from my pal, Andreia from Portugal who’s first letter to me, unfortunately, got lost in the mail :(( So sad! But she’s so nice to have me send another! I’ve got a hearty envelope ready for her, I was about to drop it in the mail when all the heavy rain happened! Good thing, the sun has risen and I’ll be having a good day at the post office tomorrow!

These Nescafe Latte and Cappuccino sounds so yummy! We don’t have it here in the Philippines so I’m really excited to try them! I really wish they could distribute these here!My favorite movie EVERRRR. Rewatched it with my sister last week, and really, I never get tired of watching “A Walk To Remember” even if I almost memorized every line in the film. Have I mentioned that I’ve read the book, watched the film a million times and replayed the OST for like forever? Seriously. =)))And I found some cool stamps again! Though I didn’t buy it yet, still new with the one I last bought :))

Rough Week for the Philippines

It’s been a VERY ROUGH week here in the Philippines. The rain has been pouring hard and nonstop which caused major flooding in a lot of areas here in Central Luzon. The picture above is from my University’s newsletter, showing how our beautiful campus became like a lake. Everytime heavy rain or a storm pours, our campus and a lot of other places floods deeply, even to the point of surpassing a normal person’s height.

Fortunately, the sun has risen today and news have announced that things will get better from here on. Still, there are a lot of people out there who needs help and I’m awed by how many people are willing to go through mud floods to help out.

Let’s pray for the Philippines.

MABUHAY!
