Mail! Mail! Mail!

It’s no secret how I love receiving letters, postcards and packages in the mail! It’s just a very happy feeling coming home to find that people have written to and back to you!

I’ve been starting to receive swaps from the same country as I am! I was surprised, but very happy also. I got this mail from the “deco-taped envelope with a surprise” and my partner, from Baguio, even included a small notebook in it! I loved the envelope especially and of course the stamps on it! My favorite stamp is the “University of Santo Tomas” stamp becuase it’s my alma mater! We had this stamp in commemoration of our 400th year anniversary. There are four and I bought them all for memorabilia!

I’m really a sucker for airmail-designed things so I literally jumped for joy when I found this on my mailbox haha

Look at what my dear sister, who is currently studying in Taiwan, sent me? A postcard of herself courtesy of Contiki! haha! I laughed at this and then wanted to get my own but when I typed in the link, it didn’t show anymore. So sad! haha! I also want my own picture on a postcard! hahahaha!

Letters from penpals and a secret postcard! I love joing share your secret / secret story postcard swaps because somehow you could disarm yourself without ever worrying they would criticize you. That’s oen of the good things in sending a random letter or postcard, most of the time you could pour your heart out and you know that the reader would just listen and try to understand you.

I got this beautiful postcard from my penpal from Portugal, Andreia. I met her on tumblr and it’s just so sad because 2 of her mails to me have already got lost because it hasn’t arrived yet and it was sent last year. It’s really irritating when your mails get lost, especially the parcels because there’s a big possibility that other people opened your package and took the mail for themselves. I feel bad for Andreia since I know how much effort she puts in her mails so I’m sending her a small parcel and will have it on registered mail so that it could surely get to her (cross fingers!)

My outgoing mails for a penpal and 2 for the deco-taped envelope swap!

Happy Writing! 🙂

Stamp Lovin’

Just wanna share some postcards I received for the past week that had such awesome stamps on it! I wish we had more stamp designs in our country! Seriously, our stamps look a bit boring except when you score those limited editions ones.

This Portugal stamp just have so much in it.

And a bit of mail 🙂

Have a good day!

New Stationery Love!

For these past 2 months, I’ve found such pretty stationery that I could not help but just buy them right away! And if only I had more money to spare, I would have bought a whole box worth! haha! Anyway, the one that I’m most glad about is the London postcard set that I found above! It’s so cool! The set includes vintage photos from places in London, the red double-decker bus, the red phonebooth and a lot more! They even come with matching envelopes although I like to send em’ naked but I won’t resist pretty envies of course! They’ll be perfect for penpal writing! Plus, can you believe I bought 3 sets? 2 designs in the ferris wheel design and one in the red double decker design! I have got so much in store for my penpals! So exciting! haha!

Moving on, I also got these amazing country themed post-its! I know they’re gonna be great for mail art!

And this awesome golden ribbon designed brown leather chord holder! It just screams vintage for me so I instantly bought it, although I don’t think this fits a stationery post but I really just want to include it haha! Ain’t it cute? 🙂

This vintage themed stationery set is just too cool that I bought two sets because I know I won’t be able to use it immediately if I had just bought one and they are just too beautiful not to write with for my penpals!

And this Little Prince themed journal planner is just to die for! It has various page designs inside! I even bought 2 cover designs of the journal! I was thinking of having the other as one of my friend’s gift this Christmas!

And of course more London themed stationery! haha! 3 notebooks and a card set! I hope you kind of know how obsess I am by now to explain even further why I bought these babies haha!

Lastly but not the least, this Paris airmail stamp is just awesome! Lately I have been into stamps lately but there’s really not much good stuff around here so I really hope to find some more.

Anyway, that ends my stationery lovin’ for now! I can’t wait to get some more! haha!

Mail Mail Mail!

I woke up with a happy mailbox this Monday to find that I got an awesome letter and 2 amazing postcards! The letter, with the big and bold ‘FANTASTIC’ word on the envelope was from Ana. I requested a letter from her via her blog, She has an amazing blog about the letters she sends out and the ones she receives! It’s always so cool to read blogs about writing letters! Anyway, along with the letter she gave me, it included a bit of surprise also!

STICKERS! Yay! And a cupcake ribbon and a thank you mini card! I always love receiving stickers from my penpals from other countries because they’re different from what I see we have here in Manila! I especially like the sticker that has the words, “Giggle Dust” on it! I was so excited to reply to Ana and gave her some surprises in her envelope that I hope she would love also.

It feels wonderful when I receive letters from penpals, not because of the stuff they give you but because you learn of their culture and of who they are through their letters and mini gifts! It truly gives joy to one’s heart to have letter friends 🙂Anyway, so here’s some of the mail that I sent yesterday at the post office. I think this is my first time to have sent a lot of mail all at the same time! I sent a total of 5 mails, 3 to the USA and 2 local. I think I was literally bankrupt from the mail to the US! It costs a hundred bucks each! (Of course, not in dollars!) Well, I did have it coming because the bigger one was a reply to Ana which had a lot of things in it and the 2 brown envelopes was for my swap partners that contained a lot of cute stuff so it weighed a bit heavy for a mail! But I know it’s gonna be worth it for my partners! I really hope they love it! The 2 local mails are actually fan mails and the envelopes were actually made from pages of magazines! Anyway, more on that next time! 🙂

I really hope all the letters get to the recipients safely! Sometimes, it gets lost in the mail or get opened because of snoopy people. I really hate people like that and wonder why there are people like that in the world!

Also, I wanna share some of the packages I had been doing for the customers of  I’m so happy that our online stationery store have been receiving good feedbacks and customers! I truly hope this goes all the way. The boxes on the picture above are actually for a customer who ordered customized notepads! And below are what the packaging of our products look like.

I wanted our customers to feel special and the airmail feel, of course! If I was a customer of a stationery store, I’d want the packages of my products to be sent in this way also! haha!

Letter Lovin’

Don’t you just love my header image? Haha! Kidding! I’m just proud of it although if I get new ideas in the future, I know I’ll be changing it up again. Since I blabbered my love of writing letters in my first post, I decided to write about some of the letters I’ve received in the span of a year’s time. I just love it whenever I find letters in my mailbox, it just really makes my day even if it had started with a bad vibe.

I took a picture of all the letters I have in my letter box and these are all from only late 2011 to the present so it had just been about a year. What more in the coming years? I’m getting excited already! Do pardon me for the bad quality of the image, our camera just had to die when I was about to take pictures so I had to resort to my camera phone.

I love it when people send me letters with cute and vintage stationery designs, it actually makes my reading of them more heartfelt haha! While I was taking pictures a while ago, I even thought of posting all my stationery stuff too but that had to need a longer time since they are way too many. I buy a lot of them and hardly use those that I really love so I would resort to buying two of the same kind which would actually leave me with empty pockets. So now I’m actually learning to really use them (without buying a second one) because I know that the person who will receive it would appreciate it as much as I treasure it.

Here’s some of my letters with cool designs.

This is my first penpal letter and it’s from England! I love my friend’s hometown in Brighton and I hope to be able to visit it someday.

When I saw this letter, I freaked! It was the time when I was so obsessed with the Korean drama, Boys Over Flowers! My college best friend, Apple really knows what suits me!

Ain’t this just so cute! I just got this mini letter a while ago from one of my best friends and twin, Mamie! She’s one of the people whom I’ve receive most letters from and I just love her for that. She’s also a great photographer and her blog is amazing!

Rilakkuma letters! Now this I have a lot in stash, and of course only one of the same kind and they are just some of the stuff I can’t really bear to use YET! :))

I just love stationery with Paris designs! I really have to go to France someday to see the Eiffel tower!

I don’t know if you can see the envelope but its design is actually of the world map and I instantly fell in love with it when I received it.

The design on this mini letter is very simple and vintage, which I really love! The vintage brown suitcase is one of my favorite designs on stationery and I really would buy a real one in the future!

Those are just some of my awesome letters and if I’d feature my stationery collection, it would take me all day to take pictures of them but I’ll do it in the near future! Letter writing has also prompted me to do my own stationery designs which I make for my friends on special occasions. Unfortunately, my laptop had to be reformatted and all the files disappeared, including my creations huhuhu 😦 I’ll post some of the pictures from my friends next time though.

Write to someone special today and make them know how much they mean to you. And if you’d like to find penpals across the country, there are actually a lot of sites up on the web that help you find one. I got mine from Pen Pals Now! and if safety is your concern, you just have to pick the right person. In my case, before I put up my info on the page, I searched for a suitable penpal first and actually found one. A lot of emails come by at some times asking to be a penpal and you’d actually know if they are serious or not so you just really have to go with your guts!
